Camper is Home.....with Carol & Rich !

It was the end of my adventures with the camper today, I drove it for the last time delivering it to Carol and Rich, and I am really pleased that they made the offer that won it for them, I think it was meant to be.

It was hard to drive away and leave it, but I loved how excited Carol and Rich were, and I hope they have many years of camping fun in it.

Thanks to my friend Tammy for printing an A3 print of one of the photos I took for ebay, and mounting it too, it looked awesome and almost didnt hand it over as planned, but Carol was really pleased with it so again another feelgood feeling.

Good luck you guys, hope you are on the road with it soon, spring and summer are just around the corner ! :)

Congratulations To Carol and Rich !!!!

Im really pleased to tell you all that Carol and Rich from Stroud are now the new owners of the camper. They came out to see it last night, and it was dark by the time they went, we had a laugh and they were such a nice family, I couldnt have wished for it to go to a better home. Carol rang and made me an offer after she finished work, and a deposit was here within the hour. Thank you ! :)

I wish you all the best with it in the future, and hope you get to finish it off and have the fun in it that I never quite managed.

Another bonus from this is I get to deliver it to them, so get one last drive :)

The End.... (But I'm happy, really I am ! Really ! :)

Last Day and its selling no matter what now.

Well today has finally come, its been a long 10 days, and have had the usual ups and downs I have come to associate with this camper lol. Met some really nice people that have come to see it, had some fun and a laugh. The feedback has been great to hear, and actually makes me a little proud :), but I have to say its hard to watch people playing with it and planning where things can go or be changed, especially as I havent actually had the chance to finish it off properly myself and use it for camping.

But thats the way it is now, I hope it does go to someone that makes it their own, and uses it.

Be interesting to see how it ends up looking based on my initial design. Really hope it gets a new blog all about it and its future adventures.

Right, going to walk away from the computer now, no questions to answer for the minute, and its doing no good sitting here refreshing the page every few seconds lol.

Wow £3000 already ! Just had a phone call, update to come soon I hope :S

Thanks to everyone that has contacted me about it, the interest alone has made the past year and a bit worthwhile. :)

Never had this much interest in anything before ! :)

Had lots of interest, couple of offers, at the moment taking my chances on the auction, thanks for your questions, its getting close now, nerves are starting ! :) Really not looking forward to it driving away, whatever happens i know its sold now :(.

Its NOT a 1998 van !

Just looked at the Reg Doc, it was actually registered in 1999 :) So its newer ! Kinda :)

Thursday 11 March 2010

Wow....

288 watchers !!! :) (amount continually updated for those that are interested)

Monday 8 March 2010

Well thats it.....

The last of the photos just posted, anyone interested from the Ebay auction, there really is no more I can do to show you what this camper is like, without you actually coming and seeing it. It currently has 79 watchers, this is going up rapidly and only been listed for just over a day, so lots of interest.

I did try and revise the description on the auction to just make sure that you knew the bits you see in the auction are included.

So will do the list here now.

2.8m Caravanstore Bag Awning
CD MP3 Player with Ipod in Jack and USB in and Remote Control (Tevion)
9" TV with Remote and built in Freeview.
Can give you my old Spinners (wheel trims) as seen in this blog too if you want them LOL.
2 Chrome 240v Power sockets ready to be fitted once you fit the consumer unit.
Consumer Unit.

And everything you see in the auction.

One thing I havent mentioned is the cab, this is standard 2+1 layout, the seats are grubby and begging for a clean, but should come up gleaming, the stuff to use it the electrical foam thats used for cleaning keyboards etc, really seems to lift the dirt out. If I can find a tin around here will have a quick go, but really not sure I'll have time now.

Anyone that rings from the adverts in the papers I will be pointing to this blog too, so be aware that it may be sold before the end of the auction, if you want to come and see it, I wouldnt hang around with the amount of interest it is generating.

Thats it, thats all I have, next post will be my thoughts on it driving away and how much it went for, then this blog will draw to a close, who knows, sometime in the future I may be able to start a new one, but if it will be the same as this one I dont know, this camper has been really special to me, it was the first time I ever did anything like this and I am proud of how it turned out, im just really sorry it has to go at all. If it were up to me and money werent a problem, Id be passing this on to the younger generations of the family when they were old enough.

Happy bidding or buying, whoever ends up with it :).

PS If im not too choked up, I may ask for a pic of you with the camper just before you drive away to post here, then maybe you can go start your own blog of your adventures in it for me to see how its doing :) That'd be cool !

This is how the Bed works !

Useful Pics To Show Underneath and Bodywork for potential bidders.

The exterior pics I took for Ebay.... Without awning, Robinswood Hill, Gloucester, and with awning, Podsmead Playing Fields, Gloucester.

Saturday 6 March 2010

Well didnt get around to cleaning and taking exterior pics, but ended up fitting the handles to the cupboards, fixing the cupboard door, the catch had broken, put a new one on, and finally wired up the tap on the sink. Then it was dark, so thought i'd take the opportunity to take pics showing how cosy it can look to potential buyers ! Showing off my LED lights too of course :).
